Cristiano Ronaldo gives Martin Odegaard advice
Odegaard, who is still only 16-years-old, has revealed that he tries to learn as much as he can from the Portuguese superstar.
Ronaldo, of course, is recognised by so many as the leading player in world football and Odegaard certainly believes his teammate is No.1.
When speaking about the 30-year-old forward, Odegaard stated: "We train together from time to time so I try to learn as much as possible from him."
The talented youngster hasn't featured in La Liga under the guidance of Rafa Benitez, but it appears that he's still learning the game. Ronaldo certainly holds Odegaard in high regard as he recently suggested that the dynamic midfielder was one of the most exciting youngsters in the world.
And Odegaard was buoyed by the words of Ronaldo, as he continued by saying: "It's great to hear that from the best player in the world."
One thing is for sure, Odegaard has a long way to go before coming to prominence in Madrid. Rumours regarding the player's short-term future in the game have been the subject of much debate recently, but perhaps a loan move wouldn't be right for the youngster at this stage.
You have to remember that he's only 16. At this age, Odegaard doesn't need to be playing week in, week out at the highest level.
Training alongside the likes of Ronaldo and Gareth Bale will most definitely help him in his pursuit of stardom. With Zinedine Zidane in charge of Real Madrid Castilla, Odegaard can hardly go wrong, so he must remain patient.
